Google CEO Sundar Pichai probably woke up this Monday morning, looked at his state of the art Android phone and went WTF. His Quora account appears to have been hacked by OurMine, a hacker group famous for breaking into Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg’s Twitter and Pinterest accounts this month
Since his Quora account is linked to his Facebook account, the hacker group was able to advertise their win to over 5 lakh followers.
OurMine has in the past also targeted Spotify’s Daniel Ek. They claim to not hack social media networks, but use “various exploits to pull passwords from celebrities’ browsers”, The Next Web reported.
This is their attempt to brand themselves as an elite ‘security firm‘. Google and Quora have not commented on the incident. OurMine wrote: “We are just testing people security (sic), we never change their passwords, we did it because there are other hackers can hack them and change everything.”
